Powerade Drink - Is it good for children?

Dear Ask The Doctor: Please can you advise me if Powerade, an Isotonic drink by Coca Cola is harmful to a 9 year old child? Is it any more harmful than Coca Cola? hank you

Dear Mel: In general such drinks contain a lot of sugar and thus ideally arent recommended for children anways. However if one does drink it then you need to do it in moderation. I hope this helps.
