.- Painful spot on the left shin:possible Medial Stress Tibial syndrome.

Dear Ask The Doctor: Dear Doctor, I am concerned about a spot on my left leg that has been bothering me for some time now. Normally I'd wait it out because most pains I have had are extremely minor and temporary. The location of the pain is on the left side of my shin bone and mid-way up the leg. It can only be felt if i sit cross legged or something hits it. I'm a little concerned about the pain mostly because I ship for boot camp in May and passed the MEPS physical but could be released because of it. Also, there is no bruising on the skin over the spot and to me it feels like it is sitting in between the muscle and the bone. Thanks in advance!
