Dear Hawraa: Protocols for abdominal exercises after C-section are the same as those for any other type of abdominal exercises. Surgeons usually recommend waiting for 3 weeks before attempting any abdominal exercise. One should start slowly and increase the intensity gradually according to your bodies tolerance. In emergency C-sections, it is sometimes recommended to wait up to 3 months because of the larger incisions involved. |
