Dear Ask The Doctor: I am three days lat on period and i have been eating forpast three weeks more than normal. I have bee peeing more and im haveing ain under my left and rigt rib cage that alternates. My breast usually get sore before my period and they avent but my nipples are a different color. I hav a little discharge and my stomach has goten alot bigger and gets hard then soft. can i be rpegnant i took a test yesturday and it said negative did i take it to soon? Dear Stephanie: I understand you concern about probable pregnancy. According to your description of the events you are three days late on your period. The symptoms that you have might be a little early to be related to pregnancy. Usually these types of symptoms are present at the 5th week post conception. If you had unprotected sex and your menses are still not present yet, you should take another pregnancy test in the next couple of days. If the result this time is positive, a blood pregnancy test done by your healthcare provider might be needed to confirm this. I wish you the best. |
