Unable to pul back foreskin

Dear Ask The Doctor: My 4 year old sons foreskin wont pull all the way back its like it is attached to penis head just above where the ridge would be so its not really pulling back alot is this normal what should i do ?
Dear Simon: Your son has Phimosis. This is a common condition in which the foreskin of the penis cannot be pulled back (retracted). This condition is addressed by surgical operation called a Circumcision. Circumsicion removes the foreskin, under general anesthesia, and thus prevents the problem form recurring. |
