Dizziness and Masturbation

Dear Ask The Doctor: Dear Dr. I am 30 years old male. I have chronic dizziness since two years now, can it be a result of excessive masturbation over the years?
Dear Jawad: It is highly unlikely that masturbation, despite the frequency, would cause dizziness. Dizziness may be caused by inner ear conditions such as Meniere's disease (MD), inflammation of the inner ear, tumors and Benign Positional Paroysmal Vertigo (BPPV) among others. You will have to see an ENT specialist to rule these conditions out. MD usually has ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and hearing loss while BPPV is associated with severe disease when the head changes position. |
