Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi my father just a hernia operation done 2 weeks ago and he is now bleeding from the belly button should i get him in to hospital asap
Dear Rodney: Any bleeding after a surgical procedure is cause for concern. The fact that this bleeding has occurred two weeks after the operation is quite significant. He should be seen by his surgeon as soon as possible to identify the cause of the bleed and treat it appropriately. |
