Dear Ask The Doctor: I currently have a major headache and also some minor back pains. In the past I have taken Tylenol, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, and Ibuprofen but have had an allergic reaction. What should I take instead?
Dear Virginia: The usual alternative for the persons who are allergic to NSAID (Motrin, Aleve, Advil) is the Acetaminophen (Tylenol), but you are allergic to this one too. The other analgesic drugs are by prescription, so you will have to talk to your PCP so he/she can help you to manage the headache. |
