Sinus Surgery and OTC Drugs for Itchy Eyes

Dear Ask The Doctor: I had sinus surgery on Wednesday April 21st...I have extreme allergies and having significant sinus pressure to do the mowing of lawns and the trees in bloom. Can I take some OTC drugs to help alleviate the itchy eyes, running nose as sinus pressure? The pain meds I am taking are not stopping those symptoms
Dear Tom:There should be no problem with taking those medications unless you explicitly told not to take them by your ENT surgeon. The surgery was aimed at reducing the pain and sinus pressure that you were experiencing but it cannot cure your allergies. |
