Zoloft Side Effects |
|
Dear Ask The Doctor: I was Diagnosed with depression about 3 months ago and my doctor put me on 50mg of Zoloft, after i started taking them i started having "blackouts". Sometimes i cant remember anything that i am doing during them and its like im losing time.. or sometimes during them i can stand there and watch everything im doing like im on tv but cant control any of my movements/actions. Iv been feeling almost like i dont exsist anymore, even when i look in a mirror its like someone else is looking back at me, there is a complete stranger staring back at me. Do u think this is because of the Zoloft or could something else be wrong with me? Dear Stacey: It is difficult to manage mental health cases over the Internet as they often require multiple visits to conclude a diagnosis. Your history is significant for the fact that your symptoms started around the time you were started on Zoloft. The best plan of action would be to stop the Zoloft to see if the symptoms resolve. Zoloft should not be stopped at once and needs to be tapered slowly under medical supervision. Do not attempt to stop or taper your Zoloft dose on your own. Side effects of Zoloft can take 4-6 weeks to completely resolve once the Zoloft is discontinued. |
