DEAR ASK THE DOCTOR: I have all the symptoms of strep throat, swollen tonsils covered in pus, fevers but my throat culture came back negative. Due to the sight of my throat my doctor prescribed a 6 day supply of 250mg Azithromycin, I am now down to the last day and have had no relief. What else could it be? And what else can I do?
