Can a missed childhood vaccination be given later ?

Dear Ask The Doctor: I missed my daughters 12 month chickenpox vaccination can I still take her to get it she is now 14 months

Dear Chantelle: Yes You can most definately take her to get her chicken pox vaccination. A delay by 2 months isn't that significant and the vaccine can still be given. This may however mean that the pediatrician may decide to postpone her 15 month vaccine to the following month. All the best.
