Using tretinoin cream while breastfeeding

There is no current data stating that tretinoin cream can be found on breast milk after topical application. However it is poorly absorbed. Manufacturers would advise precaution in using tretinoin creams during breastfeeding; it should not be applied in areas where the baby can lick the tretinoin cream.
