Dear Ask The Doctor: Is it safe to get a tattoo while breast feeding my newborn? Dear Tierney: The ink used for tattoos is completely safe and does not pose any health risk to a breastfeeding baby. Through there may be other concerns like infection at the site of the tattoo and transmission of hepatitis B, C and HIV. |
