Dear Ask The Doctor: I had unprotected sex a week ago. I was supposed to get my period today and it is not here. I am on the pill. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. What should I do? Dear Cait: If you were taking your pill daily, you would probably not be pregnant. However there are no 100% effective contraceptives. I would suggest you to take another pregnancy test 7 days after your due date. Your menses might probably be late for a few days only since no cycle is always accurate. |
