Could i be pregnant?

Dear Ask The Doctor: Hello, I am on birth control and on may 31 i had unprotected sex. I usually take my pill around 12 and did take it that day. I had intercourse after the pill, but the next few days i did not take my pill. I just had intercourse only that day though. On june 4th i got my period. My question is, Is there still a possibility i could be pregnant?

I realize your concern about probable pregnancy. Certainly if you already presented your menses after having unprotected sex, the probabilities of being pregnant are diminished, almost none.

At the first day of your menses you were starting a new cycle, your non fertilized egg was being discarded with your menses and a new egg was not ready yet at that time. I wish you the best.
