Took Plan B twice in a week, effects?

Dear Ask The Doctor: I took Plan B twice in one week. I spotted about 1-1.5 weeks after taking the last pill. Now, I am over a week late with my period. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. Do I have anything to worry about?

Dear Janet: Your periods would probably be delayed due to the effects of the Hormonal pills you have taken for emergency contraception. However if you do not get your periods in a month, you may want to take a pregnancy test although the chances are almost slim that you could be pregnant.
