Dear Ask The Doctor: I had a 33 day cylce after my D&C and only had my period for 3 days is this normal? me and my partner are trying to conceive ever since i lost our baby i had a missed miscarriage Dear Jessica: The period occurs when the lining of the uterus is shed if no egg is fertilized Dilatation and curettage involves removing the lining of the uterus. It is therefore not surprising that your period immediately after the D&C lasted only three days. It will most likely return to normal in the next cycle. |
