Dear Ask The Doctor: Will co-codamol effect my period will it make me bleed more, also since i have been on cerizet about 3 months i keep having 2 to 3 periods a month lasting weeks..... and they are heavy will i be ok
Dear Louise: Co-codamol contains a combination of paracetamol and codeine. It is used to for pain relief. Co-codamol does not effects the periods or cause excessive bleeding. The heavy menstrula bleeding or menorrhagia may be the result of hormonal imbalance, polyps, fibroids or endometrial cancer. The only way to come to a diagnosis is by a more detailed history and evaluation done by your gynecologist, he or she might need to do some blood work to assess your hormonal levels. |
