Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi. my period is normaly normal comes on time and this month my period only lasted 1 day! im so confused. i took a pregnancy test and it came back negative...i took another one and that came back neative too! i then went for a bloodtest and that came back normal too! could i still be pregnant? i do have safe sex by using condoms and even pull out before anything happens! please help..im so confused i dont know whats happening. Dear Yesim: Since all the pregnancy test, including the blood test for pregnancy have come back negative, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. A reason why your periods only lasted for a day could be due to stress. I would suggest that you observe your symptoms and if the next period is short or irregular, consult your doctor for a physical examination, complete blood count and hormonal studies. |
