Dear Ask The Doctor: I just wanna now this ? if u r treating ringworm with fungi cream how long will you be a carrier for it Dear Rayna: Depending on the extension of your fungal infection, If ringworm of the body covers a large area, is severe or doesn't respond to over the counter medicine, you may need a prescription-strength topical medication (lotion, cream or ointment) or an oral medication (pill, capsule or tablet). I would suggest you first to try using topical creams like Terbinafine, Miconazole or Butenafine, and keep your compromised area Washed and dry. Then, apply a thin layer of the topical agent once or twice a day for at least two weeks. If there is no improvement after a month, visit a dermatologist for probable prescription of anti-fungal agents. |
