Im afraid i might be having a miscarriage?

Dear Ask The Doctor: I have polocystic overy syndrome and i havent had a period in over two years now im having a light brown discharge only when i wipe i know i dont have any std's because me and my husband have been married for 12 years and both of us are faithful my back is cramping and my stomach aches is it just my period starting or could i be having a miscarriage? i dont think im pregnet i gave up on that along time ago. should i be seen at my docters or just wait and see wht happens in the next day or two?

Dear Lavona: Multiple cysts are one hallmark of PCOS. There is a chance that the ovarian cyst may have ruptured which may be the cause of your abdominal cramping and brown discharge. I would definitely advise that you consult your doctor to rule out rupture or torsion of the cysts.
