Irregular Periods after IUD Removal

Dear Ask The Doctor: We are trying to get pregnant, what does it mean if my perod is a week early? i just had my iud removed december 22. and i just ovulated 10 days ago

Dear Katy: Upon discontinuing birth control or removing an IUD, it can take 3-6 months for your cycles to resume their normal pattern.  I would not worry about this situation unless other symptoms are present.  It is still safe to attempt to conceive.
