Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi, I am 24 years old and still a virgin. My menstrual cycle is quite regular and has been 31 days for a few months now. I am now late for my period for nearly 2 weeks. I did play around with my boyfriend about a month ago at the end of my period cycle. He did ejaculate but none near my vagina, but he did fingering me which I can't remember exactly before or after. I did wash my hand with soap shortly after the ejaculation. Currently, I do have some of the menstruation symptoms which I usually had such as pimples but none come out. I was worried that I might be pregnant. Please advise. Dear Hatake: Pregnancy may be a possibility and you may have to do a urine pregnancy test to confirm it. Your delayed period may also be due to emotional stress and hormonal imbalance causing an anovulatory cycle. If the urine pregnancy test is negative and you still have not got your periods, I suggest that you consult your doctor for further tests. |
