Dear Ask The Doctor: I'm a diabetic and have been for the past 15 yrs, i have always had a regular period got pregnant just once in my life and that was back in april of 2011 and now i have had no period since oct 13, had three hpt results negative. do you think my diabetis can interfier with hpt since my sugars always run high??? Dear Ana: I do understand your concern for the missed period. Diabetes does not interfere with the results of the home pregnancy test. I would suggest that you get a blood pregnancy test which is more sensitive test to detect pregnancy. I hope I have answered your question, take care. |
