Missed period for two months with negative pregnancy tests |
|
Dear Ask The Doctor: If i havent seen my period for 2 months and i have taken 3 pregnancy test one blood test and all came ot negative what is the problem Dear Britonya: Certainly pregnancy is the first diagnosis to rule out, since you already took 3 home pregnancy tests and a blood pregnancy test which is the recommended step, a consultation with a gynecologist might be granted. Since apparently pregnancy is totally ruled out, then other conditions that might have caused hormonal imbalance would need to be rule out. Some causes such rapid weight loss, diet change, increased exercise and certain more complex conditions such as thyroid problems as well as ovarian conditions should be studied. A blood test to evaluate your female hormones levels would be the initial step and a more detailed history and evaluation. |
