Dear Ask The Doctor: I am going on 21 days late today. i took a dollar store bought HPT on week two of my missed period and got a negative..i took it in the late afternoon would that have messed my readings up?(hearing early morning urine is best).. I have not taken another test since the negative just been waiting to see if AF will come.. Ive been suffering from headaches , dizziness, fatigue, bloating, and horrible nausea... could i be pregnant still? Yes, it is true that home pregnancy tests are more accurate when done early in the morning. Even so, it is not 100% accurate. In your case, it is likely you are pregnant. You may do a home pregnancy test again if you want, this time, do it in the morning. However, I would suggest you to see your doctor and request for a blood pregnancy test (which is more accurate), or better yet, an ultrasound. Your symptoms are consistent with pregnancy but an ultrasound will confirm if you are indeed pregnant or not. I hope this helps. P.S. I honestly don't know what the acronym AF means. |
