Is Metamucil and Ipratropium Safe In Pregnancy

Dear Natasha: There is a small risk of the development of renal obstruction when ipratropium has been used in pregnancy. However, there are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Ipratropium is recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk (speak to your doctor before stopping any drug). There is contraindication to metamucil though.
