Waxing induced burnt skin and subsequent scab formation

Dear Ask The Doctor: I had my eyebrows waxed and the top layer of skin was removed. what do i do to prevent scabbing?

Dear Michelle: The best thing that you can do is keep the area hydrated. Appply lots of mosturising lotion ( like Aveeno or some other brands) and avoid touching that area. You could also apply some aloe vera containing moisturizers. It shoud improve in about 5-7 days completely as the new layer of skin emerges.
