Dear Ask The Doctor: Will medications such as Wartrol, Dermisil, Wart DX, PediFix Wart Stick, etc. work for genital warts? I cannot afford any other treatments I have found such as Aldara and am seeking a more affordable solution. Dear Justin: The above mentioned treatments may work for the removal of the genital warts, however results may vary. If they do not seem to work or develop side effects like redness, bleeding etc. you should visit your doctor as there are many other options available for treatment like cryotherapy that uses liquid nitrogen to freeze the wart, laser treatment, topical applications like podophyllum resin, podophilox, imiquimod etc.
