Dear Ask The Doctor: Me and my bf had sex a month a go n we used pretaction and i took the morning after pill..and i got my period tat month.. now dis month we had sex with out pretaction n it was only for a few mins and i took the morning after pill but i havent got my pirod yet what dos this mean should i be worried bcoz i getting this pains in my stomach but i think they period pains. Dear Mima: I understand your concern about possible pregnancy. Surely the morning after pill is very helpful but not 100% effective. Depending on your Menses due date, I would suggest you to wait until then if your menses are late by a week after your due date, then I will suggest you to take home pregnancy test. Use the first urine of the morning which carries the most concentration of HCG which is the Pregnancy Hormone. In the Future, to avoid unwanted Pregnancies you might want to consult your PCP for information on contraceptive Methods, he or she would gladly explain the different options to you and suggest you the best choice.
