Dear Ask The Doctor: Upon orgasm I am not discharging sperm. Why is this happening?
Dear Ron: What you are experiencing is referred to as a dry orgasm. There are several conditions which could explain this issue. Retrograde ejaculation (semen goes into the bladder rather than into the penis) is a common cause of a dry orgasm. This condition can occur on its own or after recent prostate surgery. Other causes of a dry orgasm include smoking, Diabetes, some drugs and frequency of sex. A dry orgasm is not usually harmful but you will require some tests to identify which of the above is the reason for your symptoms |
