Episiotomy repair and Vaginoplasty

Dear Ask The Doctor: My first husband's penis was very large in size and after the birth of our child he refused to wait the standard 6 weeks for the stitches to heal. I was also not allowed to return to the Dr. to get the episiotomy repaired. He stated it was easier on him sexually. Well, my husband now is very small in penile size and when we have intercourse he can't feel much and neither can I. We both love each other and want to make it work but the sex is a big thing for him. I do Kegel's but is there some kind of episiotomy repair I can have done after so many years? So many being over 19 years.
Dear Susana:Your best option is to see a plastic surgeon or urogynecologist who specializes in a cosmetic procedure known as vaginoplasty. The procedure is considered a cosmetic modification and not a medically necessary procedure. It would be unlikely to be covered by any health plan but it will provide the results you desire. |
