Increasing Pain in my Right Testicle |
|
Dear Ask The Doctor: I have been experiencing an increasing pain in my right testicle in the past two months. It started as occasional pain, but Recently it is frequent and it is more severe. there is no swelling, and i am still sexually not active so there is no chance it's an STD. I sometimes experience pain in the upper part pf my right leg. please help. Dear Antonio: The most common cause of pain in the testicles in your age group is epididymitis. This is caused due to the inflammation of the epididymis (a tubular structure behind the testicles) by bacterial infection. If the infection involves the testis it is known as epididymo-orchitis. Most of the case can be adequately treated with antibiotics. I would suggest that you consult you doctor because in some cases there may be an underlying anatomical problem that could be the cause of pain, also your doctor may order a urine test to rule out infection. I hope the information helps, take care.
