Dear Ask The Doctor: I had reconstructive ACL surgery 4 weeks ago. Is it safe to use marijuana recreationally? If not, what are the major health risks posed? Dear Jerry: It is not recommended any kind of smoking previous or after any surgical procedure, because the inhaled susbstances interfere with the blood flow needed to the proper healing process of the affected tissues. And of course all the health problems derived to the smoking itself in the rest of the body. |
