A day old wound on finger and the posibility of being infected with HIV while masturbating a woman

Dear Ask The Doctor: I have a cut on my middle finger that happend a day before introducing it into a vagina. My question is, how fresh does a wound has to be to get infected with HIV? If my finger was in the vagina for only 25 seconds is their still a high posibility of infection? In addition to my case the wound in my finger was not that deep, it was made with glass, it bleed when the cut happend but when the fingering happend it was not bleading at all. Dear Jorge: Unless you sustained the cut from a a glass which was infected by the blood of an HIV positive patient the chance of you contracting HIV in your case is nil. In order to be infected with the HIV one has to have transfer of bodily fluids either in the form of blood or semen etc which is it self infected.Moreover since you are not HIV positive you cannot self infect your self.  I hope this helps.
