Dear Ask The Doctor: I have been going out with my girlfriend for 3 months now and am deeply in love with her, every time I see her however, I throw up, vomit, Then if i try to drink water it comes straight back up. It has gotten to a point where even if I dont eat anything for the whole day before I see her, I still throw up when with her. Im not nervous either so that wouldnt contribute, It is completly involulntary and I dont know why it randomly comes on, I only ever know Im about to throw up about 30 seconds before when my throat fills up with saliva and I know I am going to. Im just wondering, Do I have a case of an anxiety disorder or a stomach disease?

Some common causes include motion sicknesses, exposure to chemical toxins, emotional stress (fear), worry (anxiety), gallbladder disease, food poisoning, indigestion, various viruses, and certain smells or odors. Nausea and vomiting are common symptoms of stress, fear, and anxiety. While vomiting can be a symptom of anxiety, its occurrence isn't as common as nausea. Stress and anxiety caused nausea and vomiting should NOT be considered as serious problems. problems. In fact, there are many natural and practical things you can do to eliminate them, these include exercise, well balanced diet, avoiding alcohol, getting adequate sleep and quit smoking and cut back or quit drinking coffee. |
