Dear Ask The Doctor: I woke up this morning with a headache, so naturally I took a couple of ibuprofen. the thing that is worrying me is that i've just started taking Seroxat (i started yesterday) and I'm wondering if it safe to take the Seroxat today. how long should i leave it until i take seroxat. i took the ibuprofen at around 8 this morning. Seroxat and Ibuprofen can both decrease platelet function which means it makes the blood thin, making a person easy to bleed. This is not a serious drug interaction but it should be something one should be wary about. You should take Seroxat even if you have already taken Ibuprofen. Take it easy on Ibuprofen; taking too much pain killers can also cause kidney failure when abused. I hope this helps. |
