Dear Ask The Doctor: Few days back i had pain in my abdomen area, it was not swear, the pain was moving, and most affected part was my upper chest and little stomach area, I had vomit 2 times but i did that after putting my fingre under my throat, then i went to doctor, after the medicine the pain was completely gone, but then i started to have pain in my appendix area, 2 days back i was having enough pain but still i was able to walk slowly, move slowly etc, it was not swear pain, doctor gave me medicine and injection, when i am idol i dont feel any kind of pain, but when i stretch my self i feel pain in my appendix area, my abdomen is little swollen but not that much as it was few days back. Is it Appendix pain? I do not have any kind of fever nor i am vomiting. Dear Asad: Appendicitis is caused by inflammation of the appendix and is one of the most common causes of visit to the ER with pain abdomen. The pain that typically begins around the navel and then shifts to the lower right abdomen. Appendicitis is mainly a clinical diagnosis. Treatment usually involves surgery to remove the inflamed appendix. If you notice your pain increasing or if you have vomiting, I would suggest tha you consult your doctor for further investigations and management. |
