Dear Ask The Doctor: I have a pain in my belly where my appendix is and i also have bowl pain are the two related and could i have appendicitis
Dear Teresa: Though symptoms can vary, the typical pain from appendicitis usually starts in the centre of the abdomen which after a few hours transfers to the lower right side of the abdomen. Other common signs and symptoms are nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and fever. It is possible that you have appendicitis. However, Â other diseases can mimic appendicitis too and these include ovarian torsion (the ovary twisting upon itself) and ectopic pregnancy. There is no one test that will diagnose appendicitis with certainty. Your doctor may have to examine you to confirm the diagnosis. |
