Dear Ask The Doctor:Hello, I know I probably havnt chosen the right category but wasnt sure which one to use. I have always had shakey handd but recently I have been losing grip (e.g. I will be holding something and suddenly let it go unexplainably.) I am 20 years old and have some previous medical history, but nothing luike this. thank you.
Dear Sophie: It is very difficult to tell what may be the cause of the weakness of your hands. The problem may lie either in the brain, spinal cord or the nerves supplying the muscle. You have also mentioned that you have Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome. Sometimes due to the tachyarrhythmia caused by the disease, the heart supplies less blood to the body causing dizziness and fainting. I would suggest you see your doctor regarding the weakness of your hands. |
