Wierd "Heart attack" feeling in my chest

Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi. Lately I've had some strange "heart attack" Fellings in my chest, it feels like my heart stops for a momemt and then beats verry hard again, It kind of jumps up in the neck like from a shock after that it beats normal again.. These attacks happen many times a day and sems to be non-related to what I am doin, it doesn't hurt me or anything just feels uncomfortable for a moment. I am a healthy boy 15 years old and I do sport-stuff a lot, btw I don't know if it has anything to do with it but I love to eat meat I eat much of it. Please help I'm relly scared :'(

Dear Annonym: From the description of your symptoms, it seems that you may have a benign cardiac condition like Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome or may be atrial fibrillation. One may or may not experience symptoms with either of these conditions. You may want to visit your doctor for an assessment and an EKG would likely help in the diagnosis of any cardiac condition that may be related to your symptoms.
