Sunburn

Dear Ask The Doctor: Hello, i was wondering if there is anything a doctor can do for second degree sunburn i have blisters on my nose,sholders and on my back and i am in so much pain..(i have a fair skin tone)..im am only 15 years old P.S. this is the most painfull thing ever!! :(

Dear Alysia: There is treatment available for this type of burn. Your doctor can prescribe creams as well as tablets to relieve the pain as well as decrease the healing time of the burns. He/she will also remove the blisters and apply dressing to the burns if necessary. You should see your doctor as soon as possible as there is a risk of the burns becoming infected
