Dear Ask The Doctor: Hello and thanks for this kind service. I'd like to report my status at skeletal and muscular level. To start I am a 17 years old male, and I started to feel a big lack in my performance as I started to practice "Parkour" at nearly professional level. I found myself unable to continue because I got a big difference between all my right side upper and lower body muscles (at lower very smaller difference). For more I feel big pains as I try to bend my vertebral column when I try to make a handstand or something of that kind. I also this to have a few degrees scoliosis with upper part at right hand. For my feet I found that my knees look to each others in an imaginary triangle the upper part of witch is 20 cm in front of me. If I put them in two parallel lines I find my right and left foot looking respectively to the right and to the left. I have a flat foot problem but I found that playing on ground with no footwear has drastically cured it at big part... I am 1.64 cm tall, 60kg, with an athletic body for training. It's curious to say that even my left eye is affected by amblyopia. Seems like all my left body side is weaker than my right... Sorry if I posted in the wrong section but I really don't know where to post... Thank you in advance! I wait for answers (approximately) and the advices.
Dear Akram: According to your description you are experiencing a progressive left hemiparesis (weakness of one side of the body) that also is affecting the muscles of your eye, because there are several causes of Hemiparesis and this mostly occurs as a secondary complication of another medical issue, the treatment depends on the cause, then, it is very important in your case to get a comprehensive neurological assessment by a specialist (Neurologist) to determine the cause and from there decide the best treatment option . |
