Dear Ask The Doctor: My hands shake, sometimes is just one finger, not all the time, when I hold something (even light objects), seems to be getting worse, I have swollen joints, index fingers, and they hurt a little too Dear Miguel: You may want to get your thyroid hormone levels checked since above mentioned symptoms - hand tremor, painful, swollen joints may commonly be associated with thyroid disorders. There could also be a possibility of these symptoms to be the side effects of albuterol inhalation and primatene mist medications that you have been prescribed, so you may also want to discuss this with your doctor.
