Headaches and forgetfulness - Vitamin B12 deficiency

Dear Ask The Doctor: I've been dealing with this for some time now. I get headaches constantly, at least one every other day if not more. And a lot of the times those headqches are migraines. At work I stand up and get lightheaded at least out of 3 times I stand up out of my chair. I try not to stand up too fast or sit too low. I drink a cup of coffee in the morning then water all day long. I don't drink many sodas unless I'm having a mixed drink on the weekend. I get cold very easily also, not sure of that has to do with anything. I have also been very forgetful lately. I user to be able to remember things very easily and it is now getting harder and harder to remember things. Sometimes I leave the stove on without realizing it.. And before I walk away from the stove I tell myself I need to turn it off, then I forget. I've been to the doctor and we tested for anemia and a thyroid disorder, but tested negative for both. Any ideas? I don't feel really stressed and I exercise and eat decently. I don't starve myself. I just don't know what to do or where to go anymore.
Dear Mistie: In my opinion, all the symptoms you have mentioned above including headaches, memory loss etc may be related to vitamin B12 deficiency. You may take the blood test for assessment of the vitamin B12 levels and your family doctor may then prescribe the necessary supplements based on your results.
