Dear Ask The Doctor: I had a small simple under my right breast that in a matter of days formed a small marble size lump. Could this be cancerous? Dear Rhoda: The pimple might have developed into a cyst or abscess. It is very unlikely that its cancer. Have it checked and if the mass will decrease in size or disappear after antibiotic creams or ointments are applied, there is little need to worry about cancer. Most (if not all) breast cancer masses are deep, not superficial. If you want to be sure, request your doctor for a biopsy of the mass. I hope this helps. |
