Dear Ask The Doctor: Just dianosed with myxofibrosarcoma, low grade, caught early due to an xray of my gall bladder. It's 4.7 cm. Near colon and liver but not touching any organs. How worried sould I be. I'm seeing a specialist next week. Thanks
Dear Brad: A myxofibrosarcoma is cancerous tumor of soft tissue. Fortunately, it was caught early and thus you should have a good prognosis. You will need to have it surgically removed after which you will be monitored for any signs of recurrence. You should not delay in having the surgery done as this will only worsen the outcome. |
