Three types of cancer in one lymph node - what does this mean?

Dear Ask The Doctor: My aunt recently had a tumor removed from her breast. They found cancer in one lymph node under her armpit. subsequent tests showed there were three types of cancers in that lymph node. no cancer has been found anywhere else. what does this usually mean prognosis wise? is it unusual to find 3 types of cancers in one lymph node when she was originally only diagnosed with breast cancer? thank you.
Dear Eric: It is unlikely to find 3 types of cancers in one lymph node without any cancerous signs, in any part of the body. Prognosis following removal of the breast cancer may vary depending on the type, stage, metastasis etc. of the cancer. Best would be to discuss with the treating doctor about your aunt’s test results in detail, to have a better understanding of the situation in her case.
