Although talking on the phone has been strongly thought to be associated, the distance from the mobile phone while sleeping has also been said to be important, as the strength of the radio frequency electromagnetic field associated with the phone diminishes very rapidly as you move the phone away. Thus it is safe to leave the phone some distance away from you while sleeping.
